Tadala Nsaliwa

Tadala Nsaliwa is an
accomplished lawyer with over two decades of experience
in commercial litigation, providing expert advice on
legal matters relating to business, taxation, and
company secretarial services. He is a partner at
Alliance Advocates, a prominent law firm in Kampala,
Uganda, where he has played a significant role in
advising international and local clients on diverse
aspects of corporate and commercial laws, including
securities, global custody of securities, and capital
markets. Richard has also served as a correspondent
Counsel for BAKER & MCKENZIE, a leading global law firm.
Richard's litigation experience spans the High Court and
Appellate Courts in Uganda, where he has been involved
in some cases that have enriched the jurisprudence in
the country. He has also had exposure at International
Courts like the COMESA COURT OF JUSTICE. Richard has a
keen interest in Uganda's burgeoning Oil and Gas Sector
and is currently conducting research in certain aspects
of the sector.
In addition to his legal practice, Tadala Nsaliwa is an
external examiner at the Law Development Centre and a
faculty member at the IDI- 4 CLE-ICSA Programme. He
holds a Masters of Law in Oil and Gas from Uganda
Christian University and a Bachelor of Law from Makerere
University, as well as a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal
Practice from the Law Development Centre. Richard is
also an Appointed Commissioner for Oath and a Graduate
Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and
Administrators of the UK. He is a Member of the
Chartered Institute of Arbitrators of the UK, reflecting
his ongoing commitment to professional development and
excellence.
